Mastering Your Portfolio & Profile Area
Your Profile is the public-facing version of your work. Collectors, gallery owners, fellow artists, and anyone who finds you through ArtHelper sees this page — so it’s worth getting right. This guide walks you through editing it, previewing what visitors see, and the handful of fields that have the most outsized effect on first impressions.
Open your profile editor
Open Profile from the left sidebar.
You’ll land on the Settings tab, where you can edit every field on your public profile.
Preview what visitors see
From Profile, click the View Profile button in the top-right.
Your live public profile opens in a new tab on www.arthelper.com.
Copy the URL from that new tab whenever you want to share your portfolio — in an email signature, a social bio, or a gallery application.
Edit the fields that matter most
Every field on the Settings tab is editable. These four make the biggest difference to how people read your profile:
Display name — the name shown at the top of your profile. Use the name you sign your work with.
Bio — a short paragraph about you. Keep it under 200 words. Mention medium, where you’re based, and one or two things that make your work distinctive.
Artist statement — longer than the bio. This is where collectors look to understand what your work is about.
Categories — tag your work by medium and style. Visitors and search use these to find you, so be specific (oil painting, landscape) rather than generic (art).
If you’re not sure what to write, click the sparkle icon next to Bio, Artist statement, or Categories — Arty drafts a starting point from the artwork you’ve already uploaded, and you can edit from there.
Add social links and location
From the Settings tab on Profile, scroll to the Social Links section.
Paste the full URL of each social profile you want to show (Instagram, Bluesky, LinkedIn, personal website, and so on).
In the Location field, type your city. The picker autocompletes — pick the right entry so it shows correctly on the map.
Click Save at the bottom.
Manage which images appear on your profile
Open Profile and click the Gallery tab.
You’ll see every image from My Artwork. Toggle each one’s public/private setting to control whether it appears on your public profile.
Click Save.
Your profile only goes live once you have at least 4 public images and a display name filled in. Below that, the public page shows a placeholder.
Common questions
Where is my public profile hosted?
On www.arthelper.com/your-slug, where your-slug is generated from your display name. Click View Profile on Profile to see your live URL.
How do I hide my profile entirely?
On the Settings tab of Profile, toggle the visibility setting to private. Your page will return a not-found response to anyone who tries to visit it.
Can I change the URL slug?
Reach out to support from the chat icon in the lower-right corner of any page on app.arthelper.ai. Custom slugs are handled manually so inbound links from existing shares don’t break.
How often should I update my profile?
Refresh your bio and artist statement once or twice a year, and add new pieces to the Gallery whenever you upload something you’re proud of. Keeping the public page current is the single highest-leverage thing you can do for discovery.
