How to Resolve Subscription Activation Issues After Purchase
If you bought a Pro plan, redeemed a promo code at an event, or earned Pro through a referral and your account still feels limited — small posting cap, “out of storage” warnings, or “AI creation limit” messages — your paid plan most likely hasn’t been activated yet. This article walks you through activating it.
How to tell if your plan isn’t activated
Open Billing and look at the plan name at the top of the page. If it doesn’t say Pro, your paid plan hasn’t been applied. Common signs you’ll see in the app:
An “Out of Storage” notification even though you bought Pro.
Hitting the “AI Creation Limit” on what should be a Pro account.
A referral reward or event Pro plan that never showed up.
How to activate Pro with a promo code
Go to the Plans page.
Find the Pro plan column and click Upgrade. A secure Stripe checkout page opens in a new tab.
On the checkout page, click Add promotion code, then type the code you were given (for example, 1YRGALA24, 3YRGALA24, or a referral code like FRIENDS3).
Click Apply. The total should update to $0.00.
Click Subscribe to complete checkout.
Return to Billing and confirm the plan now shows Pro.
For event-based plans, your subscription starts the moment Pro activates — any months between the event and activation are free.
Troubleshooting
Wrong account. Sign out and sign back in with the email address you used at the time of the original purchase or event.
Code mistyped. Codes are case-sensitive. Re-enter the code exactly as it was given to you.
Code expired or already used. Each code is single-use per account. If you’ve already redeemed it, it won’t apply a second time.
Total didn’t go to $0. Make sure you clicked Apply after typing the code, and that you’re on the correct plan tier.
You’re the account owner. Activation can only be completed by the account owner — support cannot activate the subscription for you.
You don’t have a code. Check the order confirmation email from the original purchase. If you still can’t find it, contact ArtHelper support.
After activation
Once Pro is active, your Billing page shows the plan name at the top, the renewal date, and a Billing portal button you can use to update your payment method or cancel. Your storage cap, AI creation limit, and posting limits all lift automatically. If something still feels off after that, contact ArtHelper support and include your account email.
