Adjusting your email and in-app notifications
ArtHelper sends notifications when other artists interact with you or your work — likes, comments, follows, connection requests, trending alerts, and a daily summary email. You can leave them all on, or you can keep just the ones you care about. This article walks through each switch in your notification settings and what it controls.
How to find your notification settings
Go to arthelper.com/settings.
Click the Notifications tab.
You’ll see three groups of switches — one for the daily activity email, one for community activity, and one for your network and messages.
Flip any switch on or off. Changes save automatically — you don’t have to click a save button.
Daily activity email
This is the once-a-day round-up email that summarizes what happened on your account the day before.
Daily Activity Email — turns on or off the once-daily email summary. When it’s off, you’ll still see everything in the bell when you visit ArtHelper; you just won’t be emailed about it.
Community activity emails
These control emails about things happening on your community posts, the wider feed, and communities you’ve joined.
Vote Notifications — emails you when other artists vote on your community posts.
Trending Alerts — emails you when one of your posts starts trending in the community feed.
New Follow Post Alerts — emails you when an artist you follow publishes something new.
While You Were Away Digest — a weekly digest of the top posts from the communities you’ve joined.
Reply & Reaction Notifications — emails you when someone replies to or reacts to your community posts and comments.
Network and messages emails
These control emails about your network — incoming connection requests, accepted requests, and direct messages from people you’ve connected with.
Connection requests & accepts — emails you when another artist sends you a connection request, or when one of your requests is accepted.
Direct messages — emails you when a connection sends you a direct message you haven’t read yet.
Email toggles only control email. The notification bell inside ArtHelper still shows every notification, even ones you’ve turned off for email. That way you can still find them when you log in, without filling up your inbox.
A starter setup
If you’re not sure where to begin, this combination works well for most artists:
Leave Daily Activity Email on — it’s the easiest way to see everything in one daily digest.
Leave Connection requests & accepts and Direct messages on so you don’t miss real conversations.
Turn off Vote Notifications if you find them too frequent.
Adjust the rest as you get a sense of what you actually act on.
Common questions
Where do Sparklink emails fit in?
Sparklinks — the daily nudge with one of your paintings and a useful task — are part of the daily activity email and the marketing emails ArtHelper sends. To stop them, see the Sparklinks article. The notification-settings page above is about everyday in-product activity, not the marketing rail.
What about text messages?
Daily Sparklink texts are the only text messages ArtHelper sends. To unsubscribe, reply STOP to any of them. To turn them back on, reply START.
I turned everything off but I still got an email — why?
A few emails are sent regardless of these toggles: account safety notices, password resets, billing receipts, and important changes to your account. Everything else respects the switches on this page.
Will I miss anything important if I turn off email notifications?
No — the bell inside ArtHelper still shows every notification. The email toggles only control whether we also send you an email about it. You can always log in and see what happened.
